There are other sects who say Christians must also obey God's Sabbath day requirement. The question, are Christians included in implementing the Sabbath Day ?. This is what we are going to say about friends today, because you have a lot to say about this faith.
Now let's use the texts used by various faiths. Some use the book of Exodus 31:14 which states;
Exodus 31: 14-15
14 Therefore, you must keep the Sabbath day because it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it will surely die. Because anyone who does any work on it, that person will be cut off from his people.
15 Six days will be worked, but the seventh day will be a day of complete rest, holy to the Lord. Anyone who does any work on the Sabbath he will certainly die.
It is clear that God is the one who sent the Sabbath day. The question, however, is that Christians have such a commandment? Let's read the letter in Deuteronomy 5: 1,12 which says;
Deuteronomy 5: 1,12
1 Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, "Hear, Israel, the statutes and ordinances which I speak in your ears today, that you may learn them and observe them."
12 "Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you.
In the book of Deuteronomy friends are clear that the commandments are the Israelites. Why did the Lord command the Israelites to observe the Sabbath day? The answer is found in the book of Deuteronomy 5:15 which states:
Deuteronomy 5:15
You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and Yahweh your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore, Yahweh your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
There were friends that God commanded the Israelites to surrender on the Sabbath as they remembered their slavery in Egypt.
These are friends, that God commanded the Israelites to observe the Sabbath as they remembered their slavery in Egypt. But what would that day be to be sanctified? The answer is the seventh day, when we use the Gregorian calendar, that day is Saturday.
Now is the question of involving Christians in enforcing the Sabbath Day Sabbath? The answer, it does not really read that God has commanded to sanctify Christians on Saturday.
Why do Christians observe Sunday as the Lord's Day?
That Christian celebration of Sunday is based on Christ's resurrection that we read in the book of Matthew 28: 1,9,17 saying;
Matthew 28
1 Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
9 As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!"
They came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.
17 When they saw him, they bowed down to him, but some doubted.
