Prior to all, JEHOVAH or JEHOVAH is NOT God's Name.
Do not be angry with other people but JEHOVAH is a consequence of ANYTHING.
That error has been inflicted on the KNOWLEDGE OF KNOWLEDGE OF some of God's NAME's NAME from ORIGINAL HEBREO to the GERMAN word.
Why and how?
In ORIGINAL HEBREW, God's name is written in FOUR LETRA. That's "YHWH" also called TETRAGRAMMATON.
At Exodus 3:15 we read that the Lord identifies His name to Moses.
Said there:
"Say to the Israelites: The LORD ... This is my name forever, and it shall be called by me of all generations. '"
Please take note, the letter is "LORD." But if we read the HEBREW of that verse, we read YHWH.
"YHWH" constitutes the name of God.
At first the Hebrews knew the word YHWH but when God gave the 10 Commandments the Jews were afraid to pronounce the name of the Lord.
Because of Ex 20: 7,
"Do not use YHWH's name, your God, to no sense."
Because of that they did not mention the name of God. Instead they used "Adonai" whose equivalent in Filipino was "panginoon" and "Lord" in English.
To avoid reading Scripture (because they might name God's name), the Hebrews wrote "Adonai" over "YHWH" for "Adonai" to say and not "YHWH."
In 200 BC or 200 years before the Lord Jesus was born, a group of scribes copying and multiplying the Scriptures began to put "vowels" in the words here, just "YHWH."
YHWH does not have vo-wels because of that point they have said the correct pronunciation here.
And because "Adonai" they use in exchange for YHWH's pronunciation, they place the VOWELS of ADONAI (the A, O, A) YHWH BOTH.
Between 1200 and 1600 A.D., some German scholars have translated Hebrew from Hebrew to German.
In the GERMAN word, the equivalent of YHWH is JHVH. And that's how the letters enter the Germans.
But God's name is not full because it has no vowels.
A "German scholar" noticed the vowels of ADONAI that were BOTH by God's name and he embraced it between JHVH.
He placed "a" in the middle of "J" and "H." then "O" he presses on "H" and "V." And the last "a" he made "padded" between "V" and "H."
And there is the word "JaHoVaH" invented as "Jehovah."
There we see that God's NO NAME is the JEHOVAH word.
In fact, the word JEHOVAH is meaningful.
In the analysis, that word has two parts: the "JE" that is considered the first part of the name, and the "HOVAH" DESCRIPTION of "JE."
In Hebrew, HOVAH means "RUIN or DISASTER."
In other words, JEHOVAH means JE RUIN.
Now, is it good to know God in that description?
If we read the commentary of the Jews in connection with the name JEHOVAH we will notice that they are against in this word.
Not surprisingly, is not it?
But what is the correct NAME of GOD?
According to JEWISH ENCYCLOPEDIA, the closest YHWH pronunciation is "YAHWEH."
According to a historian, the Samaritans (an enemy sect of the Jews) uttered the name of God as "IABE." (BIGKAS: I-YA-WE)
The early Christians mentioned it by "IAOUE" or "IAOUAI."
